Mercedes Benz's factory scanner is a laptop based unit that is not currently available to the general aftermarket through us. OEMTools.com will continue to attempt to gain access to this system and offer it to the general aftermarket when we can.
We are currently offering four alternatives to servicing the Mercedes Benz series of vehicles. VeDiS
VeDiS is the latest new scanner for Mercedes Benz vehicles. This scan tool, manufactured by Autoland Scientech, will access the Engine, Transmission, ABS System and SRS Air Bag systems and many more. Capabilities include pulling codes, reading live data stream, clearing codes and bi-directional control of selected components/systems.
This scan tool is by far the best value scanner for servicing these cars as well as some of the other commonly requested vehicle lines: BMW, VW-Audi and Volvo. PC Retriever
PC Retriever: Is the name of this Mercedes Benz service tool. As a PC/laptop based scanner this tool does a great job servicing the M/B line of vehicles. See attached spec sheet for coverages and capabilities.

Ultrascanis a highly recommended alternative for the shop looking for a general purpose scanner that covers the European as well as the Asian vehicle lines. Euro coverages include Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volvo. Asian coverages include Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infinity, Isuzu, KIA/Hyundai, Subaru and many others.
